My name is Colie, I’m creating this campaign for my dear friend Rasha, a Palestinian mother to two, and soon four, children <3 Here is her letter to you: "Dear Free and conscientious person, wherever you are in the world. I'm Rasha Kalied Baker, a Palestinian from Gaza. I hold a bachelor's degree in the English language and it's teaching methods from Al Aqsa university. During my studies, I met my partner Khalil Adnan Al-Aish, and after a love story full of difficulties and more than a wonderful moments, we got married and gave birth to Adnan, who is now four, and Khalied, who is now two years old. And now I am pregnant with twins... We had wonderful life; a great husband, a warm home and very kind sons. But on the morning of October 7th, our life turned upside down. We woke up to the sounds of rockets and missiles. We were very afraid and my children started screaming. After many days of very cruel and frightening war, the Israeli army asked us to leave our home in northen Gaza, and go to the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, and told us that it would be asafe area. We left our homes without taking anything except what we were wearing. We become homeless. We endured the bitterness of hunger, the cold weather, and the harshness of the fear and terror my children went through. We headed to Rafah in search of safety, but the situation was no different. There are still many, many missiles and shootings, and not a day goes by without bombing homes and causing martyrs and wounded. On the evening of January 3, we received news that our house had been bombed. It was one of the most difficult moments of our life. Our house which we built with love and dreams and the hope that I, my husband and my children would life in it, is gone, many beautiful moments, memories, dreams and wishes. Our house is gone with every piece of furniture, evey color of paint, with my husband's job, belongings and Adnan and Khalied's toys and drawings and colouring books, and with the memories of our marriage and birth of our children, with my studying certificates and with my ambitions. After that, we no longer had anything. But this is not the last of our suffering. We haven't found safety until this moment, the smell of death is everywhere, and the inescapable feeling that at any point, it may be our turn, accompanies us every moment. There is no safe place in Gaza, so we choose to escape from Gaza. Although it's difficult to separate from our families, we have no choice. To leave Gaza and go to Egypt, we need 5 thousand dollars for each of us. So I created this link. It was very difficult for me to take this step and ask for donations. But I shall do that to end the suffering of my children. I don't want them to live in this fear and terror any longer. I want them to escape from here from horror, danger and death. Save Adnan and Khalied from death. Save the lives of my children, if not by donating, by sharing the link. At the end, thank you very much for your kindnes, support and love." Hello everyone! I am writing to give a significant update - Tia and Tim, Rasha's baby twins, have been born on July 15th <3 We are so elated they are here, and so worried about their health. They were born a month premature, as many, many babies have been these past two years in Gaza. Given how vulnerable and weak they are, they need extra extra attention and care. Care that is EXTREMELY scarce in the strip, because of the occupation's blockade and forced starvation. Because of these horrendous and inhumane conditions, our gifts are a lifeline for this family of six. Rasha needs to be fed and cared for after her pregnancy, Adnan and Khalid need care, and so does their father. I am urging everyone to carve out space for this beautiful family. I've sustained a significant injury that required surgery, and need help <3 We want to see these babies grow up strong <3 We want this family to be able to hold one another, at home and in peace <3 Thank you for any help you can lend <3 A single action may feel like a drop in the ocean, but a single action can be the push they need to survive <3 -Colie Josef Kaspar
